Eureka Seven AO - Astral Ocean fan art. Download for full view. Enjoy!

I'm a really big fan of the original Eureka Seven series and so far the new series is great. I wanted this to look like it came straight out of the anime yet at the same time retaining my style. The foreground and characters was really simply done (in fact I think it might be too simple, but I was experimenting to see if I can get a simple quick and easy style using a minimum amount of layers). A reference was used for the interior of the Nirvash since I wasn't familiar with the new cockpit interior - which looks really different from the Nirvash in the original series, and not to mention really cramped. Anyway, these are the main characters of E7AO - Astral Ocean: the boy is Ao and the girl is Naru.

Ok im an internet critic, and the original series of Eureka Seven is, from a storry telling point of view, one of the greatest things ever created in media. I want your honest opinion of the new series, about it's story and how the writer may or may not have managed to make you emotionally invested and interested with the new cracters.
